Amanda Holtzen has been a key member of the women's soccer team these past two years. In her freshman year she lead the team in goals scoring seven goals and this past year she scored three. Injuring her knee at the beginning of her sophomore season in pre season training Amanda was limited in what she could do, but this did not stop her from playing. Wanting to play she spent every free moment in the training room rehabilitating her knee to be ale to practice and compete in games. While limited in what she could do Amanda did score the game clinching goal in a 2-0 home win against Sierra College and had the tying goal against Cosumnes River College. The goal she scored against CRC was in the dying seconds of the game and was while ARC was playing a man down. Not only has Amanda performed on the field but also in the classroom. An excellent student, Amanda was on the scholar athlete list every semester here at ARC, culminating with a 4.0 the Spring semester of her sophomore year.
Amanda will be going on to play at William Jessup University starting this upcoming fall. We thank her for all that she has done and wish her the best.
After playing her first two years at ARC Savannah Watson has accepted an offer to continue her college career at Sierra Nevada College. Savannah who played mainly as a forward at ARC was one of the leading goal scorers the past two years. She will add speed, tenacity and the ability to create and score goals at Sierra Nevada.
