Men’s Swim & Dive 2nd at State Championships!!!
The 2025 State Swim & Dive Team was composed of- John Branson, Justin Hsieh, Gar Long, Josh Noonan, Steven Ortega, Cayden Pitzer, Cayden Rutan, Josh Sayo, Karsten Taggatz, Davyd Tsypan and Lucas VanHagel.
The ARC Men's Swim and Dive team had a historic State Championships, setting 5 New State Records, winning 4 of the 5 relays, and winning 10 events all listed below. Cayden Pitzer won all 3 of his individual events, setting new state records in the 200 IM, 1:47.63 and 100 Breast 52.98. Freshman Davyd Tsypan won all 3 of his individual events and set a new state record in the 200 Back, 1:44.75. Both Pitzer and Tsypan were awarded "CCCAA 2025 Swimmers of the Meet" The relay teams were dominate as well, with 2 new state records in the 400 MR, 3:16.58, and the 200 MR 1:28.86 composed of Branson, Pitzer, Tsypan, Long.
The difference between 1st and 2nd was 9 points. Breaking down the point contributions for individual swims Pitzer and Tsypan both with 60 points, John Branson with 49, Justin Hsieh with 28, diver Stephen Ortega with 17, and the balance of points from the 5 relays.
Coach Eric Black was named "CCCAA Coach of the Year". Coach Eric a 40+ year veteran coach said this was one of the most enjoyable meets of his coaching career and he was beyond proud of his team and their efforts and performances!!
We are proud to announce that Cayden Pitzer has committed to University of Kentucky and John Branson to University of Hawaii to swim!
