ARC Men’s Swim & Dive Takes First After Two Days at Miyashiro Invite

The ARC Men's Swim & Dive team put together an impressive showing through the first two days of the 13-team Miyashiro Invite, holding the top team position heading into the final day of competition.

Josiah DeLeon led the way in the pool with a strong all-around performance, qualifying for finals in each of his events, including the 200 IM, 200 freestyle, and 100 backstroke. His consistency across multiple races helped anchor the Beavers' success.

In the breaststroke, Josh Noonan delivered a standout swim, breaking the one-minute barrier in the 100 breast despite competing tired and unrested. Teammate Josh Sayo was right behind him, finishing in 1:00.10, with both swimmers earning top-eight finishes.

Justin Hsieh also contributed key points, turning in top-three finishes in both the 200 freestyle and 200 IM, continuing his strong season in the middle-distance events.

The diving squad made a major impact on the team standings, piling up points with multiple top-eight finishes. Lucas Von Hagel led the group with a second-place finish, followed by Wyatt Kerr in third and Stephen Ortega in fourth. Dennis and Marcomber rounded out the scoring for ARC, each finishing within the top eight.

With strong performances across both swimming and diving, and valuable experience in a trials-and-finals format that mirrors the postseason, ARC is well-positioned as they look ahead to championship competition.
