Men’s Tennis Reaches NorCal Semifinal With Win Over Fresno City

The Beavers reached the NorCal semifinals for the 14th consecutive season with a 6-3 victory over the Fresno City Rams. Landon Arendt (#1 singles) clinched the victory for ARC with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Matthew McBride. Other singles winners for the Beavers included Jesus Galvan (#2 singles), Rudy Golen (#3 singles), Tijme Brunner (#4 singles, and Thomas Nosler (#5 singles), all of whom won competitive straight set matches. In the doubles, Brunner/Galvan dominated at #2 doubles to give the Beavers a point entering the singles. It was a day that took toughness, fitness, and passion to come back from a 2-1 deficit in doubles to move on in the NorCal team playoffs. The Beavers will next play the #1 seeded Chabot Gladiators in the NorCal semifinals on Tuesday, 4/14 at Chabot.
