Bio
Ravi Nelson joins the Beaver coaching staff after completing a stellar collegiate career which included two years as a Beaver and two seasons as a standout for Fresno Pacific University. He compiled one of the most impressive careers in ARC men’s tennis history, beginning in the fall of ’21, and finishing in the spring of ’23. Some of the many achievements he earned during his time at ARC included being a two-time ITA Regional champion, a two-time ITA All-American in singles, one-time ITA All-American in doubles, winning the 2023 ITA Sophomore of the Year award in California, and he won the 2023 Bucky Award for being the male athlete of the year at ARC. After his two years as a Beaver, Ravi competed on scholarship for Fresno Pacific University. He played primarily at the #1 position for the Sunbirds, helping lead them during two highly successful seasons in the ultra-competitive Pac West Conference, one of the best conferences in the nation at the NCAA DII level. FPU reached a national ranking of #26 in 2025, largely due to the success Ravi had at the top of the lineup. Ravi brings a wealth of experience competing at high levels of college tennis, a deep understanding of the game, and an excellent ability to communicate to players to help lead the Beavers in the 2025-26 season.
