Beavers Capitalize at Pirate Invite

The Beavers showcased a dominant performance placing three athletes in the top 14. The team's deep roster and exceptional individual improvements are signaling a strong season ahead.

The Beavers secured the second and third spots overall, demonstrating a powerful front-running duo. Freshman Cameron Mobley led the charge for ARC, finishing an impressive second place with a time of 19:49.82, a new PR. Right behind him was Sophomore Cyrus Justiniani, taking third place overall with a PR of 20:00.63.


 

Depth and Consistency Shine

 

ARC's strong showing wasn't limited to the top finishers. The team's consistency was evident as their next three scorers packed together to solidify their position:

  • Freshman Asher Laverty was the third Beaver to cross the finish line, placing 14th overall with a PR of 20:38.38.

  • Freshman Owen Wiseley finished closely behind in 17th place with a PR of 20:50.36.

  • Freshman Devin Pringle rounded out the scoring five, finishing 18th with a PR of 20:54.90.

The tight grouping of these five runners—all finishing within a little over a minute of each other—is a tremendous asset in cross country.

Several other American River runners also posted PRs, showcasing the impressive depth of the squad. Sophomore Tyler Farnworth (21st, 21:11.15 PR) and Sophomore Kade Fernandes (23rd, 21:15.03 PR) were among the other top finishers for the team, pushing the pace for the entire field.

With this impressive effort, the Beavers are building momentum and confidence as they look toward championship season.
