Beavers Sweep BIG 8 Championships
The men's cross country team continued to demonstrate its strength and depth with a commanding performance at the BIG 8 Championships on October 30th. The Beavers placed an impressive seven runners in the top fourteen and claimed both the individual and team victory in a fast, competitive field.
With their main focus set on next week's Northern California Championships (November 7), the Beavers entered the BIG 8 meet looking to execute their race plan precisely—securing the conference title while setting the stage for an even stronger performance when it matters most.
Freshman Cameron Mobley and sophomore Cyrus Justiniani ran the race to perfection, working together early to control the pace and let the competition string itself out—allowing other Beavers to fill the gaps. Mobley surged late to take the individual title in 19:45.30, a new personal record, while Justiniani finished just steps behind in 19:50.00 (PR) to complete a powerful 1–2 sweep that no other team could match.
