After a slow start, Beavers improved drastically over the course of the preseason schedule. A tough weekend schedule Sept. 4th and 5th started with a sweep of CCSF and then a 5 game loss to Feather River. The athletes then drove out to foothill to take on strong Foothill and Fresno teams. They suffered 3-1 losses to both teams.

The team regrouped for the Delta Classic, a 16 team tournament the following weekend. By minimizing their unforced errors from the previous weekend, the Beavers swept Lassen College, Defeated Foothill 3-1 and swept Fresno 3-0. In the Championship game Beavers lost in game 4 24-26 to 2013 State Champions Cabrillo College.. All Tournament Selections Courtney Macklin led the team in blocking and hitting percentage while Taylor Bunger led the team in kills.

The next weekend Beavers drove down to Cabrillo college for a rematch and game against Porterville College. The team was able to beat Porterville 3-1 led by strong serve receive by Kiana Chaney and efficient attacking by Leila Whaley and Erianna Williams. The Beavers started off strong against Cabrillo winning set 2 but starting setter Monica Udahl went out in set 2 with a concussion. Beavers offense was not the same and they struggled to out hit very efficient Cabrillo College.

This past weekend Beavers faced Butte College and Hartnell College who both have been voted in top 25. With Leila Whaley running offense the beavers swept both teams with steady serve receive and great blocking by Courtney Macklin and Erianna Williams.

Taylor Bunger recorded two more double doubles - hitting and digging high numbers in each set.
