Beavers receive All-NorCal and All-Conference honors

After a strong finish for the women's water polo team in 2014, several athletes were recognized for their individual success throughout the season. The Beavers were one of only a few teams to have three ladies selected to the All-Northern California Team: Avery Dotterer (So.), Emily Perry (So.), and Rya Minow (Fr.).

The Beavers had four athletes selected to the 2014 Big 8 All-Conference Team. Team captains Avery Dotterer (So.) and Emily Perry (So.) were honored with 1st Team All-Conference. This is the second year in a row these two sophomores were named 1st Team All-Conference selections. This season Dotterer broke her own ARC record for saves in a single-season with 337 and Emily Perry lead all scorers with 107 goals. Zoe Kratzer (So.) and Rya Minow (Fr.) were named 2nd Team All-Conference. Kratzer lead the Beavers in blocks with 19 while accumulating 41 steals. "I'm so proud of Zoe. She's worked so hard all year and it's great to see it pay off for her," said Head Coach Tyson Frenn. Rya Minow led the team in ejections drawn with 63 while scoring 59 goals. "Rya has shown tremendous leadership as a freshmen in and out of the water. She's so tough and I can't wait to see what she brings next season." said Coach Frenn.

Congratulations to Avery, Emily, Zoe, and Rya!
