Mt Sac Tournament
The ARC women's polo team traveled to Southern California to play in the "A" bracket of the Mt Sac Tournament. The beavers finished the weekend 2-2 with wins over Santa Barbra and Rio Hondo and close losses to Orange Coast 9-8 and Long Beach 9-7. Sophomore Haley Cates spent her 19th birthday on Saturday scoring 2 goals in the Santa Barbra game. The weekend was a great training trip and opportunity for the girls to face great competition and grow as a team.
The ARC women's polo team took on #1 NorCal seed DVC last Wednesday. Although the beavers eventually lost to the Vikings it was a hard fought battle. Scoring broke down DVC 2-ARC 1 at the end of the first quarter, 4-3 at the half 5-7 at the third and a final of 11-8. For the first 3 minutes of the third quarter ARC was tied with DVC, but after a time out, DVC went on a 3 goal scoring run and sealed the victory. Leading the beavers in scoring was freshman Savannah Liffring with 4 goals. Hannah Zari with 2 and 1 each for sophomore Rya Minow and freshman Haley Dutton. Lewis had 4 saves. The Beavers are now 1-1 in conference and take on Santa Rosa Wed 9/30.
